ITEM TITLE: Recognition of Engineering Division for grade separation projects -
APWA Award

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
On April 7, 2016, the City of Yakima received an American Public Works Association (APWA)
Washington Chapter Project of the Year Award for the Yakima Railroad Grade Separation projects
(Lincoln Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard). Also, the City received notification that we
will be receiving an APWA National Project of the Year Award for the Yakima Grade Separation
projects on August 29 at the National Public Works Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
