Amount Approved Grant Agreement: This Grant Agreement between the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the above named Grantee is made pursuant to the authority of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, (42 USC 5301 et seq.). The Grantee's submissions for Title I assistance, the HUD regulations at 24 CFR Part 570 (as now in effect and as may be amended from time to time), and this Funding Approval, including any special conditions, constitute part of the Agreement. SPECIAL CONDITIONS a. The funding assistance authorized hereunder shall not be obligated or utilized for any activities requiring a release of funds under the Environmental Review Procedures for the Community Development Block Grant Program at 24 CFR part 58, until such release is issued in writing. b. By our review, we have concluded that the Plan is consistent with the purposes of the Cranston - Gonzales National Affordable Housing Act, and the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. Further we conclude that it is substantially complete and that the accompanying certifications are acceptable. The enclosed grant agreements provide $1,210,374 for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and $632,684 for the HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) programs for the 2007 program year. We have executed three original copies of the agreements for each program. The appropriate city official should sign all of the agreements, in original signature, and return two copies of each agreement to this office within two weeks of receipt. The third copy should be retained for your records. Please note that the Action Plan approval is not a concurrent determination that the eligibility and statutory objectives of the authorizing legislation will be met by the proposed activities.
