Subject: Response to Mike Hunnel's complaint about ADA Seating
Consideration at Sundome Event
At the July 20, 2010 City Council, Mike Hunnel complained to _the City
Council that handicap seating at the Elton John concert in the Sundome
on July 18, 2010 was not appropriate, for a variety of stated reasons. Joe
Caruso contacted the Sundome staff to inquire about the situation.
Below is the response and a seating map of the facility from Gail Ragland
for the event.
City Code Administration staff have determined that the Sundome
• handled the event and the ADA responsibilities appropriately. Joe Caruso
attended the event and found all life /safety requirements were properly
addressed. Please read the following response from the Sundome
management.

Subject: Elton John floor layout
Joe,
I spoke with Greg Lybeck regarding the ADA seating for the Elton John
concert. We had two (2) designated area for ADA seating. One was in
front of the Section #1 -.and the other was in front . of section #2. We
also offered floor isle seats, where once the patron arrived the crowd
management people removed the chair to accommodate the ADA patron.
I have attached a map for your review. Please let us know if you have
any further information.
