The Department of Ecology will awarded the City of Yakima's Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, the
"2009 Outstanding Wastewater Treatment Plant Performance Award" at the Aug. 3rd City Council Meeting
at 2:00 pm. The City's WWTP is among 87 other facilities state -wide to claim the award. Award - winning
plants passed all environmental tests, analyzed all samples, turned in all state - required reports and -
avoided permit violations during 2009.
