ITEM TITLE: Resolution declaring rolling stock and heavy equipment surplus and
authorizing their disposal

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The City of Yakima owns various rolling stock and heavy equipment for which the City has no
immediate or foreseeable use and which are surplus to the needs of the City. The City desires to
dispose of these items in a manner determined to be most beneficial to the City.

RESOLUTION NO. R -2016-
A RESOLUTION Declaring surplus rolling stock and heavy equipment from the
Equipment Rental Division surplus to the needs of the City of
Yakima, and authorizing the City Manager to dispose of them in a
manner most beneficial to the City of Yakima.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima (City) owns various rolling stock and heavy
equipment for which the City has no immediate or foreseeable use and which are surplus
to the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City would like to sell ER3149, 2002 International Bucket Truck,
VIN 1HTSCAAM52H511864, to Yakima County Equipment Rental for $30,000 and Trade -
in ER6077, 2004 Caterpillar Backhoe Loader, VIN CAT0420DEBLN10542 and ER6073
2001 Caterpillar Backhoe Loader, VIN CAT0420DTBLN01990 to NC Machinery for
$31,500 and $25,000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned rolling stock and heavy
equipment to be surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima and the City Manager is
hereby authorized and directed to dispose of said property in a manner most beneficial to
the City of Yakima.
