RESOLUTION NO. R-2016-005
fixing the time and place of a hearing for February 16, 2016 at 6:30 pm
in the Council Chambers at City Hall to amend the 2016 through 2021
Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima annually prepares, reviews and adopts a Six -Year
Transportation Improvement Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the
City of Yakima for the ensuing six year period, all as contemplated and required by State and
Federal law, and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has identified a need to amend the current Six Year
Transportation Improvement Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the
City of Yakima, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing must be held on said amended program before final
approval, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That said amended program shall be presented for hearing and determination on Tuesday,
February 16, 2016 at 6 30 PM on said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Yakima, at
Yakima City Hall, Yakima, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and
that notice of such hearing be given as approved by Iaw.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 5th day of January, 2016.

19, 2016, at City Hall to amend the six-year Transportation
Improvement Program (TIP)

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
This action would set January 19, 2016 as the date for a public hearing to amend the six-year TIP. An
amendment to the 2016-2021 six-year TIP is required to add the Cowiche Canyon Trail project, and modify
the number 43 priority project, Northside Alley Paver. This amendment will make available $200,000 for the
design of the Cowiche Canyon Trail project and $45,000 for design of the Northside Alley Paver project.
