That leaves one position still to be determined. There are three other applicants that may be interviewed in the near future: James Adams, Scott Clark, and Leda Saenz. One other alternative that is being researched is to consider moving David Huycke from the potentially "to -be- disbanded" Bicycle Pedestrian Committee to the Planning Commission. He is being contacted to determine his interest. If he declines, interviews will be set up with the other three candidates. Note: David was contacted and is willing to be placed on the City Planning Committee. The Nominating Committee recommends David Huycke for the commission. It is the goal of the Nominating Committee to have these candidates ready for recommendation to the City Council at the June 15 meeting to be effective July 1, 2010. Recommendation for term years will be 0 determined by a random drawing. Air Terminal Board • At the last moment, word was received that Tomas Holbrook requested not to be considered for reappointment. The three other applications are 3 and 4 years old and need to be determined if there is still interest. It was decided to do an outreach seeking current applications for this position. Bicycle /Pedestrian Advisory Committee Because of no staff support available and lack of activity in the committee, it will be recommended that this committee be disbanded and direct the Legal Department to prepare the proper legislation to do so (resolution R -94 -37 established the committee). Community Review Board The template showed two terms expiring and only one application. The committee thought it might be appropriate to consider the three additional planning applications for this position if they were contacted and determined to be interested. Following the meeting: In talking with Joe Caruso, there apparently had been some confusion. The one application (Phyllis Musgrove) was to fill a vacancy resulting from a resignation (Judy Pozarich). Joe was unaware of the two expiring terms (Martin Chacon and Nester Hernandez). They have since been contacted and are interested in being reappointed. Council Members Coffey and Adkison were contacted and agreed to recommend these reappointments. Federal Renewal Community Commercial Revitalization Deduction Allocations Committee It was recommended by Michael Morales that the terms for the members of this committee be extended to December 31, 2010 when the designation will expire.
