1. Fair Booth application for Morelia Sister City Association
Bill Cook presented the application for the Central Washington State Fair booth
requested by the Morelia Sister City Association. They requested funding from
the ONDS economic development fund in the amount of $2,500. The Association
hopes to have the governor of our state and the governor of Morelia attend. The
Committee approved their request.
Out of Business
1. Senior and /or Disabled Emergency Program for Citizens in Trailer Parks
Senior and Disabled citizens who live in trailer parks own their home but are
leasing the property. A request was made to use non - federal funds to help
• citizens that live in trailer parks on an emergency basis only through the Senior
and/or Disabled Emergency Program guidelines. The Committee approved this
request.
2. Raising the Income Guidelines used in the Senior and /or Disabled Program
Currently, the Senior and/or Disabled program qualify applicants whose incomes
are less than 65% of the Federal Median Income Guideline. A request was made
to raise the current policy of 65% to 80% of the Federal Median Income
Guideline, HUD's requirement. The Committee approved this request.
3. Request to change the date of Neighborhood Development Committee
Meeting in August
The regular Committee meeting was scheduled for August 13, 2008 at 8:30 a.m.
in Council Chambers. Due to scheduled staff absences during that week, the
request was made . to move the meeting to August 27, 2008. The Committee
approved this request. The meeting will be held August 27, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in
Council Chambers.
4. ONDS 2008 Program Packet
Staff made a 2008 ONDS Program packet. The packet consisted of before and
after pictures of some ONDS programs. The Committee requested that this
packet be s mitted to City Council.
