Meeting Notes
Attendance: Council members Micah Cawley, Neil McClure and Bill Lover (alternate)
Staff: Dick Zais, Rita DeBord, Cindy Epperson and Randy Beehler
Discussion:
➢ The Utility Information Brochure was presented by Pete Hobbs, Utility Customer Services
Manager, to the Committee. The brochure will be included in the following 2 months
billing statements. The comments and feedback has been positive. Council suggested this
brochure should be updated and mailed annually.
> The committee held considerable discussions regarding the best approach for them to
undertake in their effort to prioritize services provided by the. City and the related task of
40 reviewing the City's general government budget. It was resolved that an initial high level
review of the services provided by the City would be undertaken by the Committee, and
that, based on this review, the Committee would determine what further information they
required and how best to proceed.
The Committee directed staff to prepare a list of the general government budgeted services
provided within each of the City Departments. The Committee requested that this list be ..
a high level overview of services provided and that it include only a brief explanation of
each service. The committee will review this list and determine what, if any, additional
information they would like and what, if any specific issues and /or areas of concern that
they may wish to pursue.
Next Meeting: The Committee set July 3, 2008 for their next meeting. This was later rescheduled
to Thursday, July 17, 2008; 2 :30 - 4:00 pm in Council Chambers.
