CITIZEN BOARDS/COMISSIONS/COMMITTEES
NOMINATING'COMMITTEE
Mayor's Office 9:30 — 9:55 a.m.
Council Present: Micah Cawley, Chair, and Kathy Coffey
Staff Present: Deputy City Clerk Linda Watkins
The members reviewed the request from Jake Jundt and Greg Stewart of State Fair Park to increase the
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee membership by one representative from their board. Council Member
Coffey explained that the RCW requires equal representation of those collecting the tax and those receiving
funds. Therefore, an increase of a recipient representative would require adding a member representing the
collecting agencies as well..
Following discussion, CAWLEY MOVED AND COFFEY SECONDED TO LEAVE THE COMMITTEE THE
SAME SIZE (7 MEMBERS) AND POTENTIALLY REVIEW ITAGAIN IN THE FUTURE. The motion carried
by unanimous voice vote.
This recommendation will be made to the full Council at the December 8, 2009 business meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 3:44 p.m.
