There being no further business to come before the Council, it was-MOVED' by Cole, seconded by Brown that this meeting be adjourned at 5:50,to Friday, August 17, 1973, at the hour of 12:00 Noon, to then meet at the Flight Deck Restaurant in the Yakima :Air Terminal: carried, Broad, Brown, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook and Schussler voting aye by voice vote. MAYOR ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - FRIDAY, AUGUST 17,1973 The City Council met in session at 12:00 Noon on this date at the Flight Deck Restaurant in the Yakima:Air Terminal. Councilmen present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Wray Brown, Howard C. Cole, Betty L. Edmondson, Ralph Holbrook, Don Schussler and Bill Whitaker. There was discussion of taxes that might be included in the proposed gambling ordinance. It was the consensus of the Councilmen that the tax'on Bingo and other lotteries should be a percentage of the gross business and that the tax on punch boards_and pull tabs be a percentage of the gross business of the license holder, and it being agreed that this might be one - fourth of one percent on up to $10,000 per month. It was agreed that the Mayor should discuss this proposal with the Co Commissioners. A variety of other matters were discussed, but no action was taken. There being no further business to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Brown, seconded by Holbrook that the regular Council meeting of August 20, 1973, be held at the Southeast Community Center: carried, Broad, Brown, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye by voice vote.
