D -2060, A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the City Manager and City Clerk of the City of Yakima to execute an amended agreement with the Washington State • Office of Economic Opportunity. • . . • City McMicken reported that bids were received.and considered by the bid -board on May 24, 1973, for the - construction of tennis courts at Franklin Park, as follows: Superior Asphalt & Concrete Company $28,000.00 Yakima Asphalt Paving.Company. _ .. 46,450.00 -. . He reported that the total of $30,150 will be made up from Contingency Funds within the Park Bond Issue. City Manager McMicken recommending that the bid be awarded to Superior Asphalt & Concrete Company, who submitted the lowest and best bid, it was MOVED by Whitaker, seconded by Edmondson that the.bid.be,awarded to Superior Asphalt & Concrete Company in the amount of $28,000 and that the City Manager be authorized to enter into contract with said contractor upon the filing of the proper bond and insurance, and that the total funds necessary be made up from the Contingency Funds: carried, Broad, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye.by voice vote.. Brown. absent. . • There being no further business to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Cole, seconded by Holbrook that this meeting be adjourned at 4:20 P.M., to Friday, .June .1,•1973, at the hour of 12 :00 Noon, to then meet at the Flight Deck Restaurant in.the Yakima Air - Terminal: carried, Broad, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye by voice vote. Councilmen present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Howard C. Cole, Betty L. Edmondson Ralph Holbrook, Don Schussler and - Bill Whitaker_. Also present were City Manager McMicken and Jim Bowers, representing the press. The Council discussed of the Aviation Committee regarding the Air Cargo Study. No action was taken. , There being no further business, to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Schussler, seconded by Cole that we do now adjourn at the hour of -1:20 P.M.: carried, Broad, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye by voice vote.
