Acting City Manager Andrews referred to the matter of a project agreement with the State
for a grant for the Lions Indoor /Outdoor pool installation, stating that the forms are to
be signed on behalf of the city while the Interagency Committee is deciding on the grant
application. After due discussion, it was MOVED by Edmondson, seconded by Schussler that
Resolution No. D -2059, authorizing the execution of said agreement, be passed: carried,
Broad, Brown, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye on roll ca`11.
RESOLUTION NO. D -2059, A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the City Manager and City
Clerk of the City of Yakima to execute an agreement with the State of Washington, Inter-
agency Committee for Outdoor Recreation, for partial funding of the Lions Indoor /Outdoor
Pool.
Acting City Manager Andrews referred to the Outside Utility Request filed by Kenneth
Lemaster for sewer service to his single - family residence at 3402 Englewood Avenue. He
reviewed the memo to the City Manager on this subject dated May 18, 1973, stating that a
sewer line is available and that there is a connection charge of $715. He further reported
that the property is 250 feet from the city limits, but that the owner desires to annex
and that an outside utility agreement has been signed. After due discussion, it was MOVED
by Schussler, seconded by Edmondson that the request of Mr. Lemaster for outside 'sewer
service, be granted: carried, Broad, Brown, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and
Whitaker voting aye by voice vote.
Councilman Brown requesting permission to be excused from the next three Council meetings
of May 29, June 4, and June 11, 1973, it was MOVED by Holbrook, seconded by Edmondson that
Councilman Brown be excused from the next three Council meetings: carried, Broad, Cole,
Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye by voice vote. Councilman Holbrook
requesting permission to be excused from the Council meeting of June 4, 1973, it was MOVED
by Brown, seconded by Edmondson that Councilman Holbrook be excused from the Council meet-
ing of June 4, 1973: carried, Broad, Brown, Cole, Edmondson, Schussler and Whitaker voting
aye by voice vote.
There being no further business to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Whitaker,
seconded by Cole that this meeting be adjourned at 9:00 P.M. to Friday, May 25, 1973, at
the hour of 12:00 Noon, to then meet at the Elks Park: carried, Broad, Brown, Cole,
Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whita -r voting aye by voice vote.

ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - MAY 25, 1973
The City Council met in session on this date at 12:00 Noon in the Elks Memorial Park.
Councilmen present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Howard C. Cole, Betty L. Edmondson,
Ralph Holbrook, Don Schussler and Bill Whitaker. Councilman Wray Brown absent. Also
present were City Manager, Craig McMicken and City Clerk, Jack Daniel.
The City Council attended a "Head Start" picnic lunch in the Elks Park at the invitation of
Mrs. Whitaker, sponsor of the "Head Start" program.
