ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING •
YAKIMA CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 31, 1973 .
The City Council met in session at 1:30 P.M., January. 31, 1973, in the Conference Room at
Yakima City Hall. ,
Councilmen present.at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Howard C. Cole - ,`Betty L. Edmondson
and Don Schussler.
Personnel Director, Bob Hilsmann, presented an orientation on his department activities to
new Council members and a refresher for some old members.

There being no further business to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Schussler,
seconded by Edmondson that 'this meeting be adjourned to'Friday, February, 2, 1973, at the
hour of 12:00 noon, to then meet at the Cosmopolitan Chinook Hotel,, Yakima, Washington:
carried, Broad, Cole, Edmondson and Schussler voting aye by voice vote.

FEBRUARY 2, 1973 -
The City Council met in session at 12 :00 noon, February 2, 1973, at the Cosmopolitan
Chinook Hotel, Yakima, Washington.
Councilmen present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Wray Brown, Howard C. Cole, Betty
L. Edmondson, Don Schu and "Bill` Whitaker. Councilman Jim ' absent. Also present
were City Manager McMicken and City Jack Daniel.
The City Council discussed. the various locations proposed for a Convention and Cultural
Center. Also discussed were funding aspects of the proposed center and anticipated reac-
tions by citizens to a bond issue.'No actions were taken`at this meeting.
The meeting adjourned =at 1:30 P.M. <
