Due notice having been given by the Clerk of the Council to each.. member of the. City Council, calling a special meeting at the hour of $:30 A.M. on Friday, April - $, 1966, for the purpose of considering and voting on an Ordinance adopting a comprehensive . zoning plan for the City of Yakima, Mayor Larson, Councilmen Brown, Lambert and Robinson, City Manager Smith and City Attorney Andrews were present on roll call. Councilmen Brazier, Kurbitz and Lynch absent on roll call. It was MOVED by Robinson, seconded by Brown that Councilmen Brazier, Kurbitz and Lynch be excused from this meeting: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson and Robinson voting aye by voice vote. . The Invocation was given by Councilman Lambert. • • MOVED by Brown, seconded by Lambert that Ordinance No. 791 relating to zoning, repealing Title 12 "Zoning" of the Yakima. Municipal Code, adopting a comprehensive zoning plan, and creating a new Title 12 "Zoning" in the Yakima Municipal Code, be passed as read: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson and Robinson voting aye on roll call. Brazier, Kurbitz and Lynch absent. ORDINANCE NO. 791, AN ORDINANCE relating to zoning; repealing Title 12, "Zoning" of the City of Yakima Municipal Code;. adopting a comprehensive zoning plan and creating'a - new Title 12, "Zoning" of the City of Yakima Municipal Code; establishing zones in the City of Yakima; regulating and restricting the use of buildings and land; establishing. use, height, area, and off - street parking regulations; providing for yards, courts and other open spaces; pro- viding for the adoption of maps showing the boundaries of zones; providing for. a Board of Adjustment; providing for the administration and enforcement of the provisions of this com- prehensive zoning plan, and fixing penalties for the violation of its provisions; and de- claring an emergency. This being the only business to be considered at this, a special meeting'of the_City Council, it was MOVED by Lambert, seconded by Brown, that we now adjourn at the hour of 10:30 A.M.: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson and Robinson voting aye by voice vote.'
