R-2024-007 A RESOLUTION authorizing a Grant Agreement with the US. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration to provide funding assistance for three ADA Paratransit vans. WHEREAS, in 2024, the City of Yakima (City) Transit Division will order three para- transit ADA equipped vans as part of Yakima Transit's Capital Vehicle Replacement plan; and WHEREAS, the US. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration (FTA) opened up a grant funding opportunity under FTA ARP Act-FY2021 Section 5307, ARP Funds; and WHEREAS, Yakima Transit applied for funding on May 23, 2023, and was awarded a grant in the amount of$328,037 with no match required; and WHEREAS, the three para-transit ADA vans will be ordered in the first quarter of 2024 and is anticipated to be delivered in the third quarter of 2024; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City and the FTA to enter into Grant Agreement WA- 2023-030-00 setting forth the terms, conditions, and requirements for allocating this funding; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into Grant Agreement WA-2023-030-00 with US. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, attached hereto and incorporation herein by this reference, to fund three para-transit ADA vans in the amount of Three Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Thirty-Seven Dollars ($328,037).
