1. Annual Foster Caregiver conference Request for Assistance
The Department of Social and Health Services requested financial assistance in
the amount of $6000.00 to cover the Convention Center's rental fee for the
conference. The request is a CDBG eligible item. However, the funds would
come out of the community service budget, and it is possible that other
community service programs would have to be denied in order to fund this
request. The Committee denied the request and declined to send the request to the
full Council.
2. -Food Bank Update
The Food Bank has terminated the Purchase and Sale Agreement on the proposed
property on South Second Street. The Food Bank is considering improvements to
the building they already occupy. • They are taking into account all options to
determine the most affordable plan.
Other Business
The HUD monitoring for OME will take place in September.
