A RESOLUTION updating the Master Fee Schedule relating to Yakima Municipal Code 6.27
Shopping Cart Regulations.
WHEREAS, on December 6, 2022, Council adopted Resolution R-2022-169 placing
certain fees in a Master Fee Schedule; and
WHEREAS, the shopping cart ordinance, Yakima Municipal Code 6.27, was amended to
allow an appeal opportunity, with a $25.00 appeal fee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Yakima finds that it is in the best interest of
the City and its residents to keep certain fees together where they can be found in one location;
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The rates, fees and charges set forth in the attached Exhibit "A" which is
incorporated herein, are hereby adopted by this reference.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be in force and effective immediately.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 7th day of November, 2023.

ITEM TITLE: Resolution placing the shopping cart appeal fee in the Master Fee
Schedule

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
If City Council adopts the proposed ordinance amendment to YMC 6.27, adding an appeal
opportunity, the suggested appeal fee is $25. This fee should be placed in the master fee
schedule.
