ITEM TITLE: Ratification of a Right -of -Way Use Permit for GN Northern, Inc., in the
vicinity of 1114 S. 31 Avenue

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
GN Northern Inc., owner of the property at 1114 S. 31 Avenue, has applied to
continue the use of a fence placed in the right of way. The fence was constructed
without the benefit of a right of way use permit over 4 years ago. Code Administration
had investigated the property in response to a complaint about the fence and the
owner then applied for the right of way use permit. Upon review by the Design Service
Team, it is being recommended that the fence be allowed to remain in the right of way
with the proper permit in place.
The required proof of ownership and liability insurance outlined in Chapter 8.20 of the
Yakima Municipal Code is on file in the Offices of Code Administration and Planning.
