ITEM TITLE: A Resolution declaring surplus two Athey Street Sweepers managed by the
Equipment Rental Division, specifically ER 3133X and ER 3134X and
authorizing the City Manager to dispose of these sweepers in a manner most
beneficial to the City of Yakima.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
ER 3133X and ER 3134X, 2000 Athey Model M -D9 AHL -2 Street Sweepers, VIN number
1A9Y24DR1YR059048 and 1A9Y24DR1YR059049 are beyond their expected useful life and
are surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima. Staff respectfully requests that the City Council
declares these two vehicles surplus and that the City Manager be authorized to dispose of these
vehicles in a manner most beneficial to the City of Yakima.

RESOLUTION NO. R -2010-
A RESOLUTION declaring two Athey Model M -D9 AHL -2 street sweepers surplus to the
needs of the City of Yakima, and authorizing their sale in a manner most
beneficial to the City of Yakima
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns (two) ER 3133X and ER 3134X, 2000 Athey Model
M -D9 AHL -2 Street Sweepers, VIN number 1A9Y24DR1YR059048, and VIN number
1A9Y24DR1YR059049, street sweepers for which the City has no immediate or foreseeable
use and which are surplus to the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned street sweepers are beyond their expected useful life;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to
dispose of said street sweepers, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned ER 3133X, and ER 3134X to be
surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima and the City Manager is hereby authorized and
• directed to sell said vehicles in a manner most beneficial to the City of Yakima.
