A RESOLUTION updating long-term downtown parking lot and residential permit parking
fees in the Master Fee Schedule.
WHEREAS, on December 6, 2022, Council adopted Resolution R-2022-169 placing
certain fees in a Master Fee Schedule; and
WHEREAS, on July 18, 2023, Council voted to adopt a proposal endorsed by the
Downtown Association of Yakima that included an increase to the long-term parking fees for the
City-owned parking lots identified in YMC 9.50.215; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Yakima finds that it is in the best interest of the
City and its residents to keep certain fees together where they can be found in one location; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The rates set forth in the attached Exhibit"A" which is incorporated herein, are
hereby adopted by this reference.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be in force and effective immediately.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 5th day of September, 2023.

ITEM TITLE: Resolution updating long-term downtown parking lot and resident

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
During its July 18, 2023 regular business meeting the Council also voted to adopt a proposal
endorsed by the Downtown Association of Yakima that included an increase to the long-term
parking fees for the City-owned parking lots identified in YMC 9.50.215. This resolution updates
the Master Fee Schedule accordingly.
