A RESOLUTION authorizing an amendment to Airport Lease Agreement with The Hertz
Corporation dba Hertz Car Rental.
WHEREAS, the City and The Hertz Corporation dba Hertz Car Rental entered into an
Airport Lease Agreement effective October 1st, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the lease terminates on September 30th, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the parties have agreed to amend that lease for an additional term, now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached Amendment to Airport
Lease Agreement Between Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field/City of Yakima and The Hertz
Corporation dba Hertz Car Rental, attached hereto.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 5th day of September, 2023.

AMENDMENT TO AIRPORT LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE YAKIMA AIR TERMINAL—MCALLISTER FIELD, CITY OF YAKIMA
AN D
THE HERTZ CORPORATION dba HERTZ CAR RENTAL
THIS AMENDMENT TO THE AIRPORT LEASE AGREEMENT is made and entered into
by and between the City of Yakima as the owner and operator of Yakima Air Terminal-
McAllister Field, hereinafter referred to for purposes of this Amendment and the
underlying Agreement as the "LESSOR", and THE HERTZ CORPORATION dba HERTZ
CAR RENTAL, a Delaware Corporation hereinafter referred to as "OPERATOR":
WHEREAS, the LESSOR and the OPERATOR entered into an Airport Lease Agreement
effective October 1st, 2018; and
WHEREAS, that lease terminates on September 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that agreement to allow for extensions of the
lease term;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, promises, and
agreements set forth herein, it is agreed by and between LESSOR and OPERATOR that the lease
shall be amended as follows:
Section 4. TERM:
The tenancy created by the Agreement, unless otherwise terminated as provided for
herein, may be extended at the exclusive option and sole discretion of LESSOR for
one (1) year periods annually. This option shall continue until either party terminates
the lease agreement as provided herein, or the lease expires at the end of a term.
LESSEE chooses to exercise this option thereby extending the agreement through
September 30, 2024 and OPERATOR consents to this one-year extension.
