Call to Order
Vice-Chair Wallacecalled the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m.

YPC Members Absent:Lisa Wallace, Frieda Stephens

Staff Announcements–Planning Manager Calhoun announced the following:
Comp Plan Amendment Rezone hearing will be held at the next commission meeting.
Update on annexations: The Golden Ridge annexation has been approved and isready
to be finalized. The Prickly Pear Annexation ordinance has been recorded and currently
waiting fortheeffective date.
July 26, 2023,Meeting Minutes–It was motioned by Commissioner Placeand seconded by
Commissioner Monickto approve the meeting minutes of July 26,2023,as presented. The motion
carried unanimously.
New Commissioner Introduction –Charles Hitchcock–Chair Liddicoat introduced Charles
Hitchcock as the new Planning Commissioner. Chair Hitchcock told the commission he works in
affordable housing and was excited to join the commission.
HAP Implementation Update-Calhoun provided the commission with some background
information onthe Housing Action Plan and the six objectives in contains. From those objectives,
37 strategies were created for implementation and thePlanning Commission/Planning Division
have been identified as the lead in six HAP strategies. He continued with the update and the work
the commission has done so far.Calhoun answered questions the commissioners had.

Adjourn–A motion to adjourn toAugust 23, 2023,was passed with aunanimous vote. The
meeting adjourned at approximately 3:38p.m.
