THIS AGREMENT is entered into between Yakima County, Washington (hereinafter the "County")
through its Public Works Department, whose address is Room 408, County Courthouse, 128 North 2n Street,
Yakima, Washington 98901, and the City of Yakima (hereinafter the "City ") whose address is 129 N. 2 11d Street
Yakima, Washington 98901, pursuant to RCW 3934.080.
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requires all public agencies having bridges
carrying vehicular traffic within its jurisdiction to have regular, comprehensive inspections performed per the
National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS),
WHEREAS, the City does not presently have the required bridge inspection organization and certified
inspectors to comply with the NBIS requirements, and,
WHEREAS, the County has presently the required bridge inspection organization and certified
inspectors to comply with the NBIS requirements, and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to have the County provide routine bridge condition inspection services for
all bridges within its jurisdiction.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT AGREED as follows:
1. The County will provide routine bridge condition inspection services for the city's bridges per NBIS
guidelines and prepare and submit inspection report to the City and the State of Washington Bridge
Inventory System.
2. The City will:
2.1. Maintain the original Bridge Inventory File for its Bridges; and
2.2. Reimburse the County for services provided by the County on a time and material basis when
billed by the County.
3. The City waives all claims against the County arising out of the County's performance of inspections
pursuant to this agreement.
4. This Inter-local Agreement shall e in full force and effect when executed by the City and County.

Subject: Contract follow -up
Hi, here's some contracts that I show we sent over to the County Commissioners to obtain signatures and have not
received our signed originals back. If you could check into them, it would be greatly appreciated.
Agreement for Bridge Inspection Services - signed by the city July 25, 2003
Agreement for Sanitary Sewer Improvements and Funding - signed by city September 14, 2004
I would be willing to accept a signed copy if you can find such a thing.
