All 2008 applications concern properties located within the City of Yakima. On November 18, 2008 the Regional Planning Commission formally adopted their written findings and recommendations for the approval of three 2008 Urban Area Comprehensive Plan amendment applications. 0 The initial Joint Public Hearing was rescheduled from January 20, 2009 to March 3, 2009 in an effort to better coordinate the attendance of all pertinent parties. Please bring previously distributed materials regarding this matter. Resolution _ Ordinance_ Contract _ Other Regional Planning Commission Findings & Recommendations Funding Source N/A APPROVAL FOR SUBMITTAL: \��Q .t Ciify Manager STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Accept the Regional Planning Commission's written findings and recommendations and direct the legal division to prepare the appropriate legislation. BOARD RECOMMENDATION: The Regional Planning Commission recommends approval of all three requested Comprehensive Plan amendments on November 18, 2008. COUNCIL ACTION: • • CPA # 1 -08 • APPLICANT: Heidi Anderson LOCATION: 1023 South 32 Avenue REQUEST: Change the Future Land Use Map from Medium Density Residential to Neighborhood Commercial. Future zoning would be Local Business (B-2), if the amendment is approved. RECOMMENDATION: Approval with conditions CPA #2 -08 APPLICANT: Larry Dean Hull LOCATION: 22 Ranchrite Road REQUEST: Change the Future Land Use Map from Industrial to 410 Q 9 P Arterial Commercial. Future zoning would be Central Business District Support (CBDS) if the amendment is approved. RECOMMENDATION: Approval with conditions . • CPA # 4 -08 APPLICANT: Maria E. Chavez LOCATION: 1019 & 1021 South 10 Avenue REQUEST: Change the Future Land Use Map from Low Density Residential to Neighborhood Commercial. Future zoning would be Local Business (B -2) if the amendment is approved. RECOMMENDATION: Approval with conditions
