SUMMARY EXPLANATION: The City of Yakima receives federal HOME funds to be used
towards providing affordable housing to qualified low to moderate income first time
homebuyers within the City of Yakima.
The property located at 1405 W. Lincoln Ave is being offered for sale by the property owner to
the City of Yakima for the appraised value of 45,000. This property has been boarded and
vacant for years.
The Office of Neighborhood Development Services (ONDS) proposes purchase of the
property from the property owner for the appraised value of the lot. ONDS would then clear
the structure and remove all debris. This lot would be used for future new construction of a
home using federal funding administered by the City of Yakima. The new home will be sold to
a qualified low to moderate income first time homebuyer.
