A RESOLUTION establishing a vendor list for the purchase of materials, equipment,
supplies or services
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 39.04.190 provides a uniform process to award contracts for the
purchase ofany materials, equipment, supplies or services by those municipalities that are
authorized to use this process in lieu of the requirements for formal sealed bidding. The state
statutes governing a specific type of municipality shall establish the maximum dollar thresholds
of the contract that can be awarded under this process, and may include other matters
concerning the awarding of contracts for purchases for the city; and
WHEREAS, said statute directs that at least twice per year, the municipality shall publish
in a newspaper of general circulation within the jurisdiction a notice of the existence of vendor
lists and solicit the names of vendors for the lists; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The Yakima City/County Purchasing Manager shall post and publish in a newspaper of
general circulation, a notice of the existence of a vendor list and solicit the names of vendors for
the lists in accord with the procedures set forth in RCW 39.04.190.

NOTICE OF VENDOR LIST
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Yakima County Commissioners and the City of
Yakima City Council that, pursuant to RCW 39.04.190, the City of Yakima and Yakima County
hereby publishes this notice of the existence of a vendor list, and hereby solicits the names of
vendors for the process of awarding contracts for the purchase of materials, equipment, supplies
or services.
Vendor applications for both entities may be filled out online by visiting
www.ci.vakima.wa.us/services/purchasing or you may contact Yakima City/County Purchasing
at 509-575-6093.
The City of Yakima and Yakima County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively
ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business
enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to invitations and will not
be discriminated against on the grounds of race, creed, color, religion, age, marital status,
disability, sex, sexual orientation or national origin.
