Meeting Minutes
Attendance: Council Members: Micah Cawley, Kathy Coffey, Bill Lover
Staff: Dick Zais, Rita DeBord, Cindy Epperson, Robin Dukart
Discussion:
> The Committee unanimously approved Micah Cawley to remain Chair of the
Council Budget Committee.
> The Committee reviewed the current list of Committee Tasks & Assignments
and reconfirmed the list as is and added the following:
Begin Review of:
• Parks District
• Fire District Authority
• Fire Apparatus: financing long term plan (Bonds)
• Streets Maintenance: financing long term plan (Bonds)
> Set regular Committee Meetings: Council Budget Committee will meet the
fourth Wednesday of each month, 8:30 a.m. — 10:00 a.m.
> Dick Zais presented an overview of the 2009 Year -end revenues and
expenditures. While the estimated Year -end figures appear to be as
predicted there are concerns for the 2010 Budget. With the continual decrease
in tax revenues, the City will continue to scrutinize all vacancies and
expenditures and will commence a review for additional reductions within
the approved 2010 Budget.
