These funds will be used to provide new computers and peripheral equipment for the 0 computer lab at the Center. Attached is a "balanced" ordinance — ce that amends the 2010 Budget in the 331 Parks & Recreation Capital Fund by adding $25,536 both as donation revenue and as an expenditure to purchase the computers. This project does not contemplate using any capital fund reserves. Pass Ordinance after the second reading at the March 23, 2010 meeting. BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: COUNCIL ACTION: ORDINANCE NO. 2010- AN ORDINANCE amending the 2010 budget for the City of Yakima; and making appropriations of $25,536 within the 331 - Parks & Recreation Capital Fund for expenditure during 2010 to provide replacement computers at the Harman Center. WHEREAS, the amount of $25,536 must be appropriated within the 331 - Parks & Recreation Capital Fund for expenditure during 2010 to provide replacement computers at the Harman Center, and WHEREAS, the expenditure is being funded by a donation from The John and Wauna Harman Trust, and WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 2010 budget it could not reasonably have been foreseen that the appropriation provided for by this ordinance would be required; and the City Council declares that an emergency exists of the type contemplated by RCW 35.33.091 and • that it is in the best interests of the City to make the appropriation herein provided, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1: The amount of $25,536 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated ID Fund Balance in the 331 - Parks & Recreation Capital Fund to the following accounts as a 2010 appropriation: Resources: Donations and Contributions 331- 331 - 699 - 0000- 36700.CNT -- $25,536 Expenditures: Small Tools & Minor Equipment 331 - 331 - 428 - 0000 - 55573 -350 -- $25,536 Section 2: This ordinance is one making an appropriation and shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
