SUMMARY EXPLANATION: Howard Huit has appealed the City of Yakima Hearing
Examiner's decision, issued on April 23, 2009, to deny a request to adjust the rear yard
setback standard by 73% in the R -3 zoning district at 1004 N. 34 Avenue #7. The Hearing
Examiner issued a decision on April 23, 2009 on File #Appeal 3 -08 affirming the Administrative
Official's denial of this request (File Adm Adj #29 -08), dated January 22, 2009. Following the
required comment period, the City Council must set the date of July 7, 2009 for the Closed
Record Public Hearing on this appeal.
