Commissioners Bussey, Mann, and King were present. Commissioners Hall and Edmondson were
absent.
III. Approval of Meeting Minutes from 7/27/2022 Commission Chair
Minutes were approved
IV. Staff Announcements Staff Liaison
A. Update on proposed awards gala
Contact information is unavailable, and the HPC budget is nonexistent, so we can explore other
options for recognition or just know that all former commissioners are thanked for their service by
the City Manager and Council
B. Update on status of William O. Douglas Bridge proposal
Council has requested a study session on the project. While the HPC may be asked to consult on
this matter, each side will also have the opportunity to present their case to Council.
V. Audience Participation Commission Chair
A. William O. Douglas Trail Foundation Presentation by Ray Paolella
Several members of the William O. Douglas Trail Foundation presented on the potential collaboration
with Yakima Valley Trolleys with regards to the trolley bridge across the Naches.
