RESOLUTION NO. R-2022-154
authorizing the recycling of surplus metal, that is in excess of the annual
surplus policy limits of $15,000, by the City's Wastewater Division to
Mayflower Metals.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima, pursuant to the Delegation of Authority Policy 2-200,
states that any proceeds in excess of $15,000 must be approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the total proceeds received for the year 2022 for the recycling of surplus
metal and aluminum product has exceeded $15,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to allow
the receipt of funds from Mayflower Metals in the amount of $7,029.00, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned receipt of funds for the recycling of
aluminum to be approved and to receive said funds and deposit them into the appropriate
account as determined by Purchasing and the Finance Department.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 15th day of November, 2022.
