ITEM TITLE: Project Completion and Contract Acceptance for the Capitol
Theatre Egress Stairs Replacement Project CT2570

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
City Project # CT2570 provided for the Capitol Theatre Egress Stairs Replacement. The City
contracted with M Sevigny Construction to replace the exterior egress stairs.
Final inspection for this project was made and the recommendation is that the project be
accepted.
Project completion is subject to issuance of Certificate of Payment by the Department of
Revenue and authorizations from state agencies allowing final payment. A final payment of
$8,800.00 (5% retainage) is due from the City to M Sevigny Construction for the completion of
the work.

Contractor: M Sevigny Construction
Contract Awarded: $ 190,608.00
Contract Cost: $ 190,608.00
Retainage Due: $ 8,800.00
The total contract cost is for construction only and does not include engineering and other costs.
City Council action is required to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.
