ITEM TITLE: Appointments to Sustainable Yakima Committee, Bike/Ped
Committee, Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and Yakima Housing

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Council Nominating Committee interviewed applicants for the Sustainable Yakima
Committee on October 13, 18, and 20, 2022 and recommends the following appointments:
1. Jeff Scott
2. Jennifer Hickenbottom
3. Jeremy Leavitt
4. Dan Schapiro
5. Ray Paolella
6. Marcelino Osorio
The Committee also reviewed appointments and reappointments to other boards and
committees and unanimously recommends the following:
Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee:
• Constance Anderton
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee reappointments:
1. Charlie Robin
2. Angie Girard
3. Sara Allen
4. Kristie Holestine
5. Lisa Vallejo
Yakima Housing Authority reappointments:
1. Bob Ponti
2. Linda Orozco

the Sustainable Yakima Committee:

MOTION: Cousens moved and Byers seconded to recommend the following applicants
for the Sustainable Yakima Committee:

5. Ray Paolella
6. Marcelino Osorio
The motion carried by unanimous vote.
Bike/Ped Committee
The Committee unanimously recommends appointing Constance Anderton to the Bike/Ped
Committee.
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
The Committee reviewed term expirations for the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and
unanimously recommends the following reappointments:
• Charlie Robin
• Angie Girard
• Sara Allen
• Kristie Holestine
• Lisa Vallejo
Housing Authority Board
The Committee reviewed term expirations for the Housing Authority Board and unanimously
recommends the following reappointments:
• Bob Ponti
