. JUNE 12, 1967
The City Council met in regular session, Mayor Larson presiding, Councilman Brown, Lambert,
Lynch and McNeice, City Manager Smith and City Attorney Andrews present on roll.call.
Councilmen Kurbitz and Robinson absent on roll call. Councilman Kurbitz present after
3:04. P.M. Councilman Robinson excused at the meeting of May 15, 1967.

The Invocation was given by Councilman Lynch.
The minutes of the regular meeting of June 5, 1967, having been duly certified accurate by
two Councilmen, and no one present wishing.to have said minutes read publicly, Mayor Larson
declared said minutes approved as recorded. .
Petition No. 533, having been filed with the City Clerk on June 7; 1967, by Phillip J.
Robillard and Others, requesting the vacation of a portion of Bell Avenue, it was MOVED by
Lynch, seconded by Lambert that said Petition be referred to the City Manager and Planning
Commission for study and recommendation: carried, Brown Lambert, Larson, Lynch and McNeice
voting aye by voice vote. Kurbitz and Robinson absent. . •
Councilman Kurbitz present after 3 :04 P.M.
An Ordinance appropriating $9,023.00 within the 1967 Budget to - various accounts for
• operating City Hall, having been read in its entirety, was ordered laid on the table for
one week or until the next regular meeting of the City Council on June 19, 1967.
An Ordinance appropriating $70,000.00 from the Airport Improvement Fund to Construction
• Expenditures, and authorizing the temporary loan of same from Domestic Water Supply Cumu-
lative Reserve Fund-to Airport Improvement Fund, having been read in its entirety; was
ordered laid on the table for one week, or until the next regular meeting of the City
Council on June 19, 1967. '
MOVED by Lambert, seconded by Lynch that Ordinance No. 925 designating the source.of funds
for the Airport Improvement Fund and amending the Yakima Municipal Code, be passed as read:
carried, Brown, Kurbitz, Lambert, Larson, Lynch and McNeice voting aye on roll call.
Robinson absent. City Manager Smith explained that the only change from the original
Ordinance No. $75, passed earlier, is the addition of the sentence "Additional money may
be placed into said fund, from time to time, by the Yakima City Council pursuant to and
in accordance with applicable laws".
ORDINANCE NO. 925, AN ORDINANCE designating the source of funds for the special fund
• numbered and called 912 - Airport Improvement Fund; and amending Section 3.70.020 of the •
•
City of Yakima Municipal Code and declaring an emergency.
The Planning Commission reporting on Petition No. 522, filed by Cook -Lewis Company, request-
ing the vacation of the alley in Block 130 between N. 6th and N. 7th Streets, it was MOVED •
by Lynch, seconded by Lambert that a resolution be prepared fixing July 10, 1067 as the time •
for a hearing by the City. Council on said Petition No. 522: carried, Brown, Kurbitz, Lam-
bert, Larson, Lynch and McNeice voting aye by voice vote. Robinson absent.
The Planning Commission reporting on Petition No. 525,ifi1ed by C. A. Enright, requesting
rezone of property located at 305.-;:307'N1.. 3rd.Street, :and:P°etition No. 529, filed by
Dwight Drumright, requesting rezone of property located at 1006 S. Avenue, it was
MOVED by Lynch, seconded by Brown that June 26, 1967, be fixed as the date of Hearing on
said Petitions: carried, Brown, Kurbitz, Lambert, Larson, Lynch and McNeice voting aye . by
voice vote. Robinson absent.

City Manager Smith reporting on the Six Year Arterial Street Improvement Plan, and recom-
mending that said Plan be referred to the Planning Commission, it was MOVED by Lynch,
seconded by Brown that the Six Year Arterial Street Improvement Plan be referred to the

Planning Commission for study and recommendation: carried, Brown, Kurbitz, Lambert, Larson,
Lynch and McNeice voting aye by voice vote. Robinson absent.

There being no further business to come. before the Council, it was MOVED by Kurbitz, . •
. seconded by Lynch that we do now adjourn at the hour of 3:12 P.M.:,carried, Brown, Kur-
