HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/14/1966 Business Meeting 225 November 14, 1966 The City Council met in regular session, Mayor Larson presiding, Councilmen Brown, Lambert, Lynch and Robinson, City Manager Smith and City Attorney Andrews present on roll call. Councilmen Brazier and Kurbitz absent on roll call. It was MOVED by Robinson, seconded by Brown that Councilmen Brazier and Kurbitz be excused from this meeting: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson, Lynch and. Robinson voting aye by voice vote. The Invocation was given by Councilman Brown. The minutes of the regular meeting of November 7, 1966, having been duly certified accurate by two Councilmen, and no one present wishing to have said minutes read publicly, Mayor Larson declared said minutes approved as recorded. Petition No. 474, having been filed with the City Clerk on November 10, 1966, by Robert W. and Mary Strausz, Straco, Inc., requesting annexation of property between Summitview and West Lincoln Avenues and between N. 52nd and N. 61st Avenues, it was MOVED by Robinson, seconded by Lambert that said Petition be referred to the City Manager and Planning Commission for study and recommendation: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson, Lynch and Robin- son voting aye by voice vote. Brazier and Kurbitz absent. Petition No. 495, having been filed with the City Clerk on November 10, 1966, by J. Grant McDaniel, requesting annexation of property located between Logan Avenue and Mead, and South 22nd and 24th Avenues, it was MOVED by Robinson, seconded by Lynch that said Petition be referred to the City Manager and Planning Commission for study and recommendation: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson, Lynch and Robinson voting aye by voice vote. Brazier and Kurbitz absent. MOVED by Lambert, seconded by Robinson that Resolution No. D -101$, being a Resolution of Intention to improve property by the construction of a pipe sewer and create a local improvement district in accordance with Petitions No. 4$$ and 494; and in the following vicinities: 56th Avenue and Summitview Avenue Shopping Center; Lot 10, Carolyn Addition; Lot 15, Westwood Addition; 5512 West Lincoln Avenue; and 315 Minnesota Avenue, and fixing the date of hearing for Decerrb er 5, 1966, be passed as read: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson, Lynch and Robinson voting aye on roll call. Brazier and Kurbitz absent. RESOLUTION NO. D -101$, A RESOLUTION of intention to create a local improvement district. A damage claim having been filed by Mrs. Fred Cleman, it was MOVED by Lynch, seconded by Lambert that said damage claim be referred to the City Manager and Staff for study and recommendation: carried, Brown, Lambert, Larson, Lynch and Robinson voting aye by voice vote. Brazier and Kurbitz absent. There being no further business to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Lynch, seconded by Lambert that we do now adjourn at the hour of 3 :25 P.M.: carried, Brown, Lambert, Lar- son, Lynch and Robinson voting aye by voice vote.
