Nov. 17, 2021—City of Yakima —Traffic& safety Study for Yakima Chief Hops Expansion -$30,000
The City of Yakima received a $30,000 grant to perform a traffic and pedestrian safety study to identify the most
appropriate and cost effective infrastructure improvements to solve the intersection's safety challenges in
support of YCH's campus expansion.The expansion will result in an additional 30 employees at an average salary
of$27.52 per hour.
Jul. 17, 2020—City of Yakima —SOZO Phase II Spring Creek Road Improvements - $2,000,000
The City of Yakima recived $2,000,000($1,000,000 grant/$1,000,000 loan) to construct phase II of the Spring
Creek Road Improvement Project in support of the SOZO Sports Complex expansion. The SOZO expansion will
directly employ an additional 52 people.
Oct. 17, 2019 —City of Yakima —Additional Funds to Support YMCA Aquatic Center- $1,000,000
The City of Yakima received an additional$1,000,000 grant to pay for public utilities associated with the YMCA
Aquatic Center.
April 23, 2018—River Road Improvements to support YMCA Aquatic Center- $1,000,000
The City of Yakima received $1,000,000($500,000 grant/$500,000 loan) to reconstruct,widen and make frontage
improvements to River Road from 40th Avenue to 34th Avenue.The improved roadway is needed to provide
better access to the new YMCA facility to be built at Chesterly Park on River Road.
October 19, 2017—Water and Sewer Extension to support Valley Brewing - $123,160
The City of Yakima received a $61,580 grant and a $61,580 loan to extend water and sewer along River Road to
serve Yakima Valley Brewing Company.
March 17, 2016—SOZO Sports Complex- $1,800,000
The City of Yakima received $1,800,000 in the form of a $900,000 grant and$900,000 loan for street
improvements to accommodate traffic for the SOZO Sports Complex.
Jan. 21, 2015—21st Avenue Extension &Airport Realignment - $614,000
The City of Yakima received $307,000 grant and $307,000 loan to support expansion growth at the Yakima Air
Terminal-McAllister Field by extending 21st Avenue which will allow direct vehicle access to the airfield and
support the growth of JR Helicopters and Cubcrafters.
Jan. 23, 2014—Public Market/Incubator Feasibility Study- $40,000
The City of Yakima received $40,000 grant to help identify a preferred location for a public market/commercial
kitchen and incubator facility. In addition, City of Yakima will conduct a feasibility study surrounding the
establishment of a public market/incubator.
Jan. 20, 2011 -Yakima Air Terminal— Master Planning Project-$250,000
Yakima Air Terminal received a loan of$250,000 to jumpstart its master planning effort. The airport's current
master plan, a document that outlines the airport's long-term development,dates back to 1996 and has not been
updated in more than seven years. The project should be completed by the end of 2011.
Oct. 21, 2010 - Mill Redevelopment Project- $500,000
City of Yakima received $500,000 to complete design and engineering work on roads and utilities that will serve
the former Cascade Mill site. The City plans to use these funds to support a bond that will fund construction of
roads and utilities at the site.

Sept 10, 2009 - Sawmill Redevelopment Planning Study- -$50,000
City of Yakima received $50,000 of SIED funding to complete planning activities associated with redevelopment of
the old Boise Cascade/Yakima Resources mill site.
March 27, 2008- Sawmill - $25,000
The City of Yakima received $25,000 from the SIED program for a feasibility study on the Boise Cascade mill site.
The study supported Yakima's successful tax increment financing application which could be worth up to$50
million over the next decade
March 27, 2008- Italstone - $428,000
The City of Yakima received $428,000 from the SIED program to construct a road, allowing Italstone to invest
$700,000 in buildings and equipment to expand a business to Yakima that will employ 23 people.
Oct. 18, 2007 —GE Aerospace Expansion—$55,000
The City of Yakima received $55,000 to assist with improvements to South 28th Avenue to support expansion of
GE-Aerospace. Expansion will result in hiring 14 additional personnel.
Aug. 28, 2006 City of Yakima —Fiesta Foods—$100,000
City received$100,000 to assist with a $1.4 million project that will create 136 jobs over the next two years.
Nov. 29, 2005— Longfibre Road — Fax Ballot-$15,000
The Cities of Union Gap and Yakima received a $15,000 grant to complete the Longfibre Road project.
Oct. 13, 2005 - Convention Center Campus & Hub -$18,000
City of Yakima received $18,000 for a planning study on vacating 8th street and using the area as a plaza.
July 14, 2005 - City of Yakima —Airport Park - $129,000
City of Yakima received $129,000 toward road, water and wastewater improvements to support a $2.4 million
private hangar development project that will create 12 new jobs.
Jan. 13, 2005- City of Yakima —Cubcrafters - $50,000
City of Yakima received $50,000 to extend sewer lines from the City water main to the Cub Crafters building on
Yakima airport property. Company will hire 100 additional employees and invest$4 million to expand their
airplane production.
Jan. 9, 2003—Visitor Information Center- $150,000
City received$150,000 to make curb, gutter, parking lot& landscaping improvements for their Visitor Information
Center. Project leveraged$436,000 in other public funding.
Jan. 6, 2000- Cascade Quality Molding- $88,000
Board awarded $44,000 as a grant; $44,000 as a loan;To widen Ahtanum road to four lanes and to construct curb
and gutter fronting the property of Cascade Quality Molding in support of their$1.25 million capital expansion
project. Approximately 9 jobs will be created, existing municipal infrastructure systems will be enhanced, and the
improvements will help leverage$378,500 in additional funds for other road improvements.
Sept. 9, 1999 - Baby Joggers (Racing Strollers) -$235,172
To assist with the cost utility improvements to aid in the construction of a $2.7 million built-to-suit
manufacturing/assembly facility for the Baby Jogger Company. Note: The company ultimately moved locations
but the building and public improvements now support a Costco call center operation that employs 600.
