wigEg E S, 2015 marks People ¶For People's 50th anniversary of providing essential
community services throughout Central Washington; and
WJFEREAS, the generalpublic, senior citizens, people with disabilities, those seeking
training and employment, people needing transportation, seniors needing nutritious meals, and
individuals needing information and referrals for community resources are served everyday by
the caring and professional -People ¶For People staff, and
Wi EREAS, People ¶For People services have enhanced the quality of individual lives
as well as strengthenedfamilies throughout the Yakima galley; and
WJFEREAS, People ¶For People has made sign f cant contributions to the economic
base of the Yakima Valley for 50 years by providing a quality workforce for our county's
employers and businesses; and
WJFEREAS, People ¶For People has provided options for transportation in rural-
communities
uralcommunities where no other options for access to transportation e.,cist; and
`Gt' L RAS, People ¶For People services have touched the fives of hundreds of
thousands Central Washington citizens spanning five decades,
NOW, `ZffEREEORE, I, Micah Cawley, Mayor of the City of Yakima and on behalf
of the City Council, do hereby proclaim September 2015 as
PEOPLE FORPEOPEE
APPRECIATION- 110Whf
in the Yakima galley and I call upon all citizens to join me in congratulating People ¶For
People as it celebrates 50 years of service, while thanking People ¶For People's staff, customers,
passengers, and community supporters for the value it has added to our community.
