R-95- 171 A RESOLUTION of intention to create a local improvement district and to issue tax exempt bonds to finance improvements South 70th Avenue/Lindgren Drive Sewer LID No. 1054 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve the property within the following described district by constructing a domestic sewer system on South 70th Avenue/Lindgren Drive All of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be approved by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. That the nature and territorial extent of said proposed improvement is as follows: ROUTE OF 8 -INCH LINE Beginning at existing sewer line located on South 72nd Avenue, thence east in Lindgren Drive, then north on South 70th Avenue to a point just south of Tieton Drive, consisting of approximately 1,390 lineal feet of 8 -inch sewer line and appurtenances The district to be served by and specially benefited by and assessed for the above-described improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and is all of the property described below: Yakima County parcels 181329-12400, 181329-12401, 181329-12402, 181329-12403, 181329-12434, 181329-12435, 181329-12436. All persons who may desire to be heard with reference to said proposed improvements are hereby directed to appear at a meeting of the City Council to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock p.m on Tuesday, January 9, 1996, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and Legal 8/D RES DD 1 Page 1 -- 11/27/95 the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvements. All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said improvements, shall be, levied and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefore as provided by law and as above described. The actual assessments levied for this improvement may vary from the assessment estimates so long as they do not exceed a figure equal to the increased true fair value the improvement adds to the property. Upon completion of the improvements, an assessment roll shall be prepared and, after notice and hearing in the manner provided by law, an assessment roll shall be confirmed. The City has received petitions requesting formation of this LID from property owners representing over 75% of the assessed property value. The project consists of approximately 1,390 lineal feet of 8 -inch sewer line beginning at the existing sewer line located on South 72nd Avenue, thence east in Lindgren Drive, then north on South 70th Ave. to a point just south of Tieton Drive. The project consists of approximately 1,390 lineal feet of 8 - ch sewer line and appurtenances. The attached Resolution is to set the date of public hearing for January 9, 1996. Preliminary assessment estimates and other pertinent information will be submitted to the City Council at that time.
