RESOLUTION NO. R95-_1_51
A RESOLUTION repealing the Willow Street Annexation.
WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of August 22, 1995
pursuant to RCW 35.13.125, passed Standard Motions A and B initiating a
petition form of annexation for the Willow Street Annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desiresto repeal the initiation of the
aforementioned annexation in order to commence two separate
annexations in approximately the same area, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The initiation of the Willow Street Annexation commenced by the
City Council on August 22, 1995, is hereby repealed effective immediately.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The City is proposing the repeal of the Willow Street annexation. This annexation, initiated in
August of 1995, was objected to by Yakima County because it would have created another County
island. By repealing this annexation the City will be able to re-initiate two separate
annexations, covering approximately the same geographic area, but without creating any of the
objectionable islands.
At this time the City Council is being asked to act upon the attached resolution thereby
repealing the Willow Annexation initiated by petition number 1134.
