ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - AUGUST 3, 1973
The Council..met in session at :00..Noon this date in the Flight Deck Restaurant .
at the Yakima Ai"r,= .T,erminal. • •

Councilmen-present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Wray Brown., Howard C. Cole, Betty
L. EdmondsonDon..Schussler and.Bill Whitaker. Councilman Ralph Holbrook absent. Also
presentwer.e -City Manager Cra.i.g McMicken and Parks Director Bill Hutsinpiller.

µ MOVED by Brown, seconded by Edmondson that the property immediately north of the
Senior Citizen's Center be acguired as soon as possible for addition to the Center site.
Parks Director., ;Bill.•Huts inpiller, reviewed the status of the following . parks: .
• Lions Park: The.Site Devel.opment.Plan.will be delayed unt.il.,School District #7
.has':.had. time .to;review the po.s of employing an architect, who along with
the :.City's park d.esigner.,..would prepare a comprehensive development plan for both
the Davis campus and the park.

: Community.Center"Park:.The status of development was reviewed. It is
•
planned -`that . the ,sprinkler system ,wi.11 be installed and seeding be done this
fall. :Logs will be set according to the plan; the ditch will remain unchanged
: except'.`.for keeping all grass.cut,,pending a revision to the plan.
Washington Park: The City has arranged for Mr. Heckart to remove 2500 yards of
• , dirt without cost to the'city by September 15, 1973.

The .Gouncil requested that a development schedule be prepared for Washington Park and
• Southeast.Communi.ty Center Park to be sent to Henry Beauchamp and to,John Taylor and be
posted at,the Center. .

Parks.TDirector., •Bill Hutsinpiller, .reviewed his 1974 Work. Program.
There.,be.ing na further business to come before ,the Council, it was MOVED by Cole, seconded
.by ,Wh itaker that we do now adjourn at the hour of 1:30_• P.M.: carried, Broad, Brown, - Cole,
Edmondson, Schussle"r` and Whitaker voting. aye by voice vote. Holbrook absent.
