RESOLUTION NO. R-95144
A RESOLUTION approving the appointment of Bill Elkins as the "at -large"
appointee to the Yakima Air Terminal Board.
WHEREAS, pursuant to state law, the Yakima Air Terminal is jointly owned and
operated by the City of Yakima and Yakima County, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the 1982 joint Air Terminal Operations Agreement, one
member of the Yakima Air Terminal Board is to be selected by the City and
County appointees to the Board, subject to the approval of the City and County,
and
WHEREAS, at its September 28, 1995 meeting the Yakima Air Terminal Board
voted to appoint Bill Elkins to fill the remainder of Bob Clem's term as the at
large member of the Yakima Air Terminal Board , and
WHEREAS, it is m the best interests of the Yakima Air Terminal and the City of
Yakima that Bill Elkins' appointment to fill the remainder of Bob Clem's term as
the at large member of the Yakima Air Terminal Board be approved by the City
of Yakima, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Bill Elkins appointment to fill the remainder of Bob Clem's term as the at large
member of the Yakima Air Terminal Board is hereby approved by the City of
Yakima.

Dear Councilmembers and Commissioners:
As you know, Bob Clem resigned from the Yakima Air Terminal Board earlier
this year and accepted the appointment of Airport Manager. This has been a
very positive change for the Airport and Bob is doing an excellent job.
was appointed to the "at large" position by the other four Boardmembers
i.r the term July 1, 1993 to June 30, 1997.
At our September 28, 1995 meeting, the Yakima Air Terminal Board voted to
appoint Bill Elkins to fill the remainder of this term.
Bill was appointed by the City to our Board on July 1, 1994. He and his
family are in the process of moving to the County. Bill has been an
important contributor to the Airport during this past year and it is our
desire to keep his expertise.
We are currently seeking your approval of the appointment of Bill Elkins to
the unexpired term of the "at large" position.
