A RESOLUTION authorizing temporary closure of portions of 16th Avenue and
Spring Creek Road for the 1995 Yakima Air Fair
WHEREAS, the Yakima Air Fair Board has requested the City of Yakima to
close 16th Avenue from Washington Avenue to the southern City limits and that
portion of Spring Creek Road within the City of Yakima., and
WHEREAS, the Yakima Air Fair Board has made the aforementioned request
for closure at the hours and dates listed below in order to facilitate air show
events and practice flights at or preceding the 1995 Yakima Air Fair to be held at
the Yakima Airport; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 9 45 170B of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code the City Council deems the Yakima Air Fair to be a special event for which
street closure is desirable, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section. 1 The following streets are hereby closed at the stated times and
dates
16th Avenue south of Washington
Avenue to the City Limits
That portion of Spring Creek
Road within the City of Yakima
June 3, 1995
11:00 a.m. to 4 30 p.m.
June 4, 1995
11.00 a.m. to 4 30 p.m.
June 3, 1995
11.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
June 4, 1995
11.00 a.m. to 4 30 p.m.

WHEREAS, the Yakima Valley Air Fair wi:.' be held at the
Yakima Airport, June 3 and June 4,. 1995; and,
WHEREAS,
the air fair; and.

WHEREAS, the Yakima Valley Air Fair has applied for and
received permission from the City of Yakima to close Spring Creek
Road to through traffic, from West Washim-ion Avenue south to the
City limits, June 3 and June 4, 1995 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
and,
WHEREAS, the Yakima Valley Air Fair has applied for and
received permission from the City of Yaks::= to close South 16th
Avenue to through traffic, from West Washin= .-: Avenue south to the
City limits, June 3 and June 4, 1995 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
and,
WHEREAS,

BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that South 16th Avenue be closed to
through traffic, from Ahtanum Road to the 'Yakima City limits, June
3 and June 4, 1995 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that: appropriate traffic control
devices be installed and maintained at all times during the
closures and that they be removed when not needed.

NOTICE
CLOSURE OF ROADS NEAR YAKIMA, WASHINGTON
Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of
Yakima County, Washington, did pass a resolution authorizing the
closure of Spring Creek Road and South 16th Avenue so that during
the events at the Yakima Valley Air Fair roads adjacent to the
airport will be kept clear in order to provide access for emergency
vehicles and to provide a safety area during aerial events.
Spring Creek Road will be closed to through traffic, from Ahtanum
:Road to West Washington Avenue and South 16th Avenue will be closed
to through traffic from Ahtanum Road north to the Yakima City
limits on June 3, 1995 and June 4, 1995 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.
