R-95- G 8 • A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the City Manager and City Clerk of the City of Yakima to execute real estate purchase and sale agreements with various property owners to implement the Yakima I-82/Gateway Project. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is working in a cooperative effort with the U.S. Government, State of Washington, and other local government entities to implement the Yakima I-82/Gateway Project; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire certain properties and street rights- of-way for this project; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Yakima finds that the acquisition of this property would be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Yakima, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The City Manager and City Clerk of the City of Yakima are hereby authorized and directed to execute purchase and sale agreements with the owners of various parcels of real property, which parcels are legally described in exhibits attached hereto, and the City Manager is further authorized and directed to take all necessary and prudent actions to complete the purchase and acquisition of the properties described in the attached exhibits, subject to review and approval as to form of all real estate acquisition documents by the City Attorney or his designee.
