A RESOLUTION declaring four used trolley coaches and a related inventory of
parts to be surplus and authorizing sale of this city property.
WHEREAS, the City owns four used 1991 Specialty Vehicle Manufacturers
Model 3000 Trolley Coaches, with B Series Cummins Engines and Allison
Transmissions, and a related inventory of parts, for none of which the City has no
immediate or foreseeable use and which are surplus to the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City believes the used trolley coaches are each worth at least
$25,000, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that
the said trolley coaches and related parts inventory be disposed of as surplus and
sold by sealed bid auction, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned four used 1991
Specialty Vehicle Manufacturers Model 3000 Trolley Coaches, with B Series
Cummins Engines and Allison Transmissions, and the related inventory of parts to
be surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima and the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to dispose of said four used trolley coaches, and the related
inventory of parts by sealed bid auction, with a minimum bid for each trolley
coach of at least $25,000.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 14th day of March, 1995.
