HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1994-092 City of Issaquah• • RESOLUTION NO. R-94 92 A RESOLUTION authorizing the execution of an Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the City of Issaquah. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima and City of Issaquah desire to arrange for making cooperative purchases of certain goods and services; and the City Council of the City of Yakima deems it to be in the best interests of the City that such an arrangement be carried out according to the provisions, terms and conditions of the attached agreement document and that it is in the best interests of the City that the attached agreement document be executed, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The City Manager and City Clerk of the City of Yakima are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with the City .of Issaquah for the purpose mentioned above, a copy of which agreement, entitled "Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement," is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 5th day of July, 1994. Pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW Interlocal Cooperation Act and to other provisions of law, the City of Yakima, Department of Purchasing and the following named municipal, political or other public agency of the State of Washington, City of Issaquah hereinafter called the political agency, hereby agree to cooperative governmental purchasing upon the following terms and conditions: AUG 181994 (1) The Department of Purchasing in contracting for the purchase of goods and services for the City of Yakima, agrees to contract also on behalf of the political agency to the extent permitted by law and agreed upon by the parties. (2) The Department of Purchasing will contract for the purchases of goods and services according to the laws and regulations governing purchases by and on behalf of the City of Yakima. The political agencies accept responsibility for compliance with any additional or varying laws and regulations governing purchases by or on behalf of the political agency in question. (3) The City of Yakima accepts no responsibility for the performance or payment of the purchase price of any item or items contracted for by the political agency as a result of this agreement.
