A RESOLUTION: declaring Winter Games shuttle bus service fare
free.
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Yakima wished to provide
shuttle bus services for the Winter Games being hosted in Yakima on
February 25 - 27, 1994, for the purpose of reducing parking and traffic
congestion, and enhancing the safety and welfare of the participants and
general population; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to operate the aforementioned
shuttle bus services without charging fares, now, therefore,
BE IT::.:: SOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
No fare shall be charged for Winter Games shuttle bus service on
February 25, 26, 27, 1994, with routes and schedules to be determined by
the Transit Manager. The Transit Manager shall cause to be published in a
newspaper of general circulation, at least one notice declaring the routes
and times of service and beginning and ending time of free fares. This
resolution does not apply to any other service which may be offered by the
City of Yakima during the date mentioned in this resolution.
Except as otherwise provided in this resolution, standard fares, which
have been heretofore declared by this Council, shall remain in effect on all
other transit service provided by the City of Yakima.
