A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to execute a Quit Claim Deed to clear
title for the Clasen Fruit property located north of Ahtanum
Road in Ahtanum.
WHEREAS, in 1920, the Yakima Valle) Transportation Company received two
deeds to operate a spur track to the property now owned by Clasen Fruit in
Ahtanum, and
WHEREAS, in 1985, the City of Yakima acquired all of the property and
assets of the Yakima Valley Transportation Company; and
WHEREAS, the spur track to the Clasen Fruit property has been removed
and is no longer in use; and
WHEREAS, the spur track is no longer needed by the City of Yakima; and
WHEREAS, Clasen Fruit Company has requested that the City of Yakima
execute a title clearing Quit Claim Deed for the unused spur track, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The Mayor and the Cit) Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the attached and incorporated Quit Claim Deed clearing title.

THE GRANTOR, THE CITY OF YAKIMA, a Washington municipal corporation, for and
in consideration of clearing title, conveys and quitclaims to C. C. & G. ENTERPRISES, a
Washington general partnership, consisting of Gene Clasen, Wayne T. Clasen, and
Nancy Grimes, the following described real estate, situated in the County of Yakima,
State of Washington:
That portion of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section
6, Township 12 North, Range 18 E.W.M. and the West half of the
Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 6, Township 12
North, Range 18 E.W.M. described as follows:
Any and all interests formerly held by the Yakima Valley Transportation
Company in railroad spur track located within the alley way and Lots 1
through 24 inclusive, within Block 13, AHTANUM CITY, as recorded in
Volume "D" of Plats, page 28, records of Yakima County, Washington.
