RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION authorizing a new numbering system for City Council
ordinances and resolutions.
WHEREAS, over the years the City Council has used and adopted various
systems in numbering its resolutions and ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to create a system of numbering
resolutions and ordinances which would indicate the year of passage and the
sequence of passage, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Commencing January 19, 1993, all City Council ordinances and resolutions
shall be numbered in the following manner Resolutions shall be denominated
with an "R" followed by the last two numbers of the year of passage and the
sequential number of the resolution. E.g., R-93-1, etc
Likewise, commencing January 19, 1993, all City Council ordinances shall
be denominated with the last number of the year of passage followed by the
sequential number of the ordinance. E.g., 93-1, etc
The City Clerk is hereby directed to number City Council ordinances and
resolutions in the manner indicated in the previous paragraphs commencing
January 19, 1993
