RESOLUTION NO. n 6197
authorizing the City Attorney to execute an agreement
with the Yakima County Prosecutor for prosecution
services for the calendar year 1993.
WHEREAS, the Yakima County Prosecutor has offered to perform
prosecution of City domestic violence cases for $30,000.00 for the calendar year
1993; and
WHEREAS, the City lacks sufficient prosecutorial staff to perform such
services in an efficient manner, and
WHEREAS, in consideration for continued prosecution of City domestic
violence cases, the City Legal Department Criminal Division will prosecute all
District Court in -custody arraignments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City
of Yakima to enter into the aforementioned agreement; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Prosecutor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the
attached and incorporated "Letter of Agreement Between the City of Yakima
and Yakima County Prosecutor's Office for 1993".
